Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Structural Designer to support the Design & Engineering Department by preparing and coordinating structural design deliverables for fabrication and engineering projects. This role involves close coordination with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure designs comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and constructability requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare structural design drawings, including GA, fabrication, and shop drawings, as well as assembly details.
- Develop 2D and 3D structural models using AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or equivalent software.
- Prepare design requests, design input documents, and design change notes for in-house and subcontracted design activities.
- Review design and development documents prepared internally, by subcontractors, or by clients before approval and construction release.
- Prepare design verification, input review, and output review documentation as required for projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, piping, E&I, and production teams to ensure constructability and design integration.
- Ensure all structural designs comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and support procurement and fabrication activities.
- Participate in clash checks and resolve interdisciplinary design conflicts.
- Maintain Design & Development document control sheets and ensure proper documentation management.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, classification societies, vendors, and third-party agencies regarding design-related matters.
- Support fabrication and site teams by resolving technical and drawing-related issues.
- Ensure all work complies with company QHSE standards and project requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in structural design within marine, oil & gas, fabrication, or EPC projects.
Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and 3D modeling software.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural steel design, fabrication drawings, engineering standards, and multidisciplinary coordination.
Skills: Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory.
