Role purpose
Planning events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives. Support different business partnership programs by identifying sales leads, pitching goods and services to new clients, and maintaining a good professional relationship with new contacts.Initiate and close out innovative ideas for active involvement in the marketing plan for campaigns, bulk sales, etc. Develop and implement activation/events platforms as a business acquisition channel with cost-per-acquisition and business responsibility leveraging new and existing sponsorship platforms.
Identify specialist agencies to support ADIB's brand growth and maintain a good relationship with event agencies, event organizers, exhibition coordinators, and external suppliers to ensure the best value for ADIB. Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
Lead promotional activities for the event. Ensure correct internal procedures are followed and adherence to all audit points (internal and external).
Key accountabilities of the role
Event planning
Create, develop, and implement event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Lead discussions with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all event requirements are met. Develop events calendar and ensure all events are strategically aligned.
Vendor and stakeholder management
Identify specialist agencies to support ADIB's brand growth and maintain a good relationship with event agencies, event organizers, exhibition coordinators, and external suppliers to ensure the best value for ADIB. Ensure all vendors are registered and comply with company policies.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions and governmental entities.
Logistical support
Oversee the delivery and setup of event materials and branding collaterals. Research and identify specialist agencies and negotiate best value service contracts, media rates, and standards. Apply local market knowledge and keep abreast of market and industry developments.Work closely with stakeholders to understand our customers' preferences and what makes them tick, delivering an event that will inspire and connect them to their roots, providing feedback on leads generated and product-specific feedback. Maintain good relationships with these agencies and ensure best practice.
Optimize event expenditure to ensure value for money for ADIB. Ensure all logistical aspects of events are executed smoothly, including transportation and accommodation arrangements. Manage inventory of event materials and ensure timely procurement and distribution.
Financial management
Submit quotes and raise purchase requisitions for event-related expenses. Track and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely payments to vendors. Prepare post-event financial reports and summaries.
Compliance and reporting
Ensure all events comply with legal, audit, and internal control standards. Prepare and submit post-event reports, including key metrics and feedback. Support audit and compliance activities related to events.
Marketing and promotion
Identify a standard branding kit for the bank and activate delivery with specifications, operational manual, and details of the new procedure. Manage all queries and act in an advisory role. Work with the marketing team to promote events and ensure effective communication strategies.Develop and implement marketing plans for events, including social media and other promotional activities. Attend networking events to promote the company and its events.
Specialist skills / technical knowledge required for this role
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.

Previous experience required
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in event management or a related field. Proven track record of managing large-scale events and working with diverse stakeholders.
