Job description summary
AECOM is looking for a senior quantity surveyor/project surveyor with skills in pre and post contract experience for their Dubai office.
Role and responsibilities
Specialized in pre and post-contract cost consultancy services, the ideal candidate will have experience in mid to large-scale luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
Able to support the client across the portfolio of projects.
Experience in managing a team of professionals delivering pre and post-contract cost management and consultancy, including cost estimating, cost planning, BOQ preparation (organization, coordination, and team management), pre-tender estimation, tender process management (tender query responses and addendum preparation), contract formation review, payment certifications, management and assessment of variations, claim avoidance, budget tracking, cost reporting, risk management, negotiations, and final account.
Manages projects and resources according to the requirements of the project and acts as primary point of contact for clients on small and medium size projects.
Accountable for a variety of deliverables throughout the lifecycle of multiple projects, generally within an end market sector.
Accountable for briefing the team on project scopes to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood.
Manages the resources across a large or several smaller projects, all within the established budgets.
Accountable for the production and delivery of a variety of deliverables across all funder advisory services.
Manages quality control and ensures all procedures are complied with.
Assists in benchmarking, data collection, and internal reporting.
Supervises and mentors more junior members of staff to enable their development, assisting with the graduate development programme where appropriate.
Monitors and manages the performance of direct reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or other construction related field.
Chartered RICS membership (MRICS).
Experience- 10 years post graduate experience.
- 5 years in the Middle East.
