We are looking for a results-oriented and client-centric account development manager to join our team. This role is critical in driving revenue growth by managing the full sales cycle and building strong relationships with key retail clients.

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and ensuring clients receive high-value solutions that meet their commercial objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong sales instincts, a proactive approach to client engagement, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver tailored solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth within your assigned client portfolio by identifying, developing, and converting commercial opportunities to achieve revenue growth targets within the assigned client portfolio.
  • Actively manage the full sales cycle - from lead qualification and proposal development to deal closure and account expansion. Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding client partnerships.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders to understand their business needs and position relevant solutions. Build and maintain day-to-day relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders, ensuring high levels of service and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with customer support and insights teams to generate leads, create value-driven messaging, and ensure seamless delivery of products and services to your clients.
  • Maintain a healthy and up-to-date sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue and reporting on progress to senior leadership against KPIs.
  • Support contract discussions and renewals, working with legal and finance teams as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and FMCG market dynamics to contribute to team knowledge and account planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of experience in sales, account management, or commercial roles ideally within the market research industry.
  • Knowledge of retail measurement practices and/or NielsenIQ’s products and solutions is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong client-centric mindset along with the ability to build and maintain robust client relationships.
  • Sound understanding of commercial negotiations and contract management process.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in preparing and delivering presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, and similar tools.
