Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Group Chief Accountant to oversee and manage the financial operations of a diversified luxury retail group based in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, compliance, and ensuring strong financial controls across the group entities.
The successful candidate must possess strong leadership capabilities, excellent analytical skills, and extensive experience working with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations across multiple group entities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Manage group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts
- Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and working capital requirements
- Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE regulations, VAT, and internal financial policies
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records across all business units
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor budget performance and analyze variances
- Support business planning and financial strategy initiatives
- Lead and support financial operations through Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Ensure proper utilization and optimization of ERP financial modules
- Coordinate system improvements and reporting enhancements
- Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team across group entities
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification is mandatory
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably within luxury retail, retail, or group companies
- Strong experience in group consolidation and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT regulations, and UAE financial compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
- Experience managing finance functions for multiple entities or business units
- Prior experience in luxury retail or lifestyle brands will be an advantage
