Production Trainer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced PCBA Production Trainer to develop and deliver technical training programs for SMT and THT manufacturing operations. The role is responsible for building workforce capability, maintaining training compliance, and supporting quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain training materials, Work Instructions (WI), visual aids, assessments, and certification programs.
• Deliver hands-on training for SMT/THT processes, including solder paste printing, SPI, Pick & Place, reflow, AOI, manual soldering, and wave/selective soldering.
• Conduct onboarding, refresher, ESD, and IPC workmanship training for operators and technicians.
• Maintain operator skill matrices, certifications, and training records.
• Perform competency assessments and shop-floor audits to ensure training effectiveness and compliance.
• Support NPI activities, process improvements, ECO/MCO changes, and equipment upgrades through timely training updates.
• Coach operators on PCB handling, soldering quality, workmanship standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to align training with business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.

Education:

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Training, or a related technical field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing and technical training.
• Experience developing and delivering structured training programs.
• IPC Certified Trainer (CIT) certification is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SMT/THT manufacturing processes, PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and inspection.
• Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610), ESD controls, and quality systems.
• Experience in competency assessment and training evaluation.
