Role and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for running, setting and change over machines, making minor repairs that can be completed without the help of technicians and being able to transfer the knowledge he has to other operators. This role ensure machines are prepared for production runs, meet quality standards, and minimize downtime through timely steps and minor maintenance.

• Run the machine and make settings according to the needs and product specifications that are run.
• Perform machine change over, replacement and installation of change parts, setting and ensuring that the product is executed according to standard quality specifications.
• Make minor machine repairs that can be completed alone without the help of engineering technicians.
• Able to transfer knowledge, both machine settings, reviewing other centers and defect lists to other operators.
• Set up and adjust machinery according to product specifications and production schedules.
• Responsible for optimizing productivity and reducing scrap at the machines set up.
• Responsible for resolving technical faults occurring during production or machine changeovers in the shortest possible time.
• Perform routine checks to ensure machines are running at optimal settings.
• Conduct test runs to verify machine setup and make fine adjustments as required.
• Check the condition of the change part and decide whether it is good or not before the change over is carried out on the machine in coordination with the engineering team
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on more complex repairs or equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of setups, adjustments, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure equipment is operated in a safe manner.
• Report defects, malfunctions, or equipment failures to the cell leader promptly.
• In the event of production downtime, must follow the steps defined in the escalation protocol.

• High school diploma or technical certification in mechanic, machine tools technology.
• 4+ years of experience as a machine setter or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tooling and production machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and setup sheets.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and quality control practices in manufacturing.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and machine interface use.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work in noisy, fast-paced environment
• Able to work shift work including nights, weekends or rotating schedules depending on production demands.

• Experience as a machine setter / machine adjuster for Mono, Dual and Triple Combiners.
• Experience on KDF2/KDF2R and JK-3D/4D/4TE Combiners will be as added advantage.
