Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The jobholder is responsible to supervise, coordinate, troubleshoot, lead, and administrate the Electrical Maintenance team, ensuring all maintenance activities on LV/HV Electrical equipment and systems are performed safely, on time, and in compliance with local laws and Borouge's guidelines.

This role includes leading the Electrical Maintenance team, supervising and coordinating all maintenance activities on LV/HV electrical equipment and systems. It involves troubleshooting, ensuring timely and effective maintenance, and adhering to Borouge's HSE policies planning and executing predictive, preventive, proactive, and corrective maintenance, monitoring work execution, and ensuring compliance with local laws and Borouge's guidelines along with administrating team activities, conducting inspections, and maintaining effective communication.

Maintenance Activitiesu2019 Supervision

u2022 Supervise the Electrical Maintenance team, ensuring all activities are performed safely and on time, supporting Borouge's operational efficiency.

u2022 Coordinate installation and commissioning of equipment, ensuring compliance with Borouge's guidelines and local laws.

u2022 Troubleshoot electrical systems, ensuring timely and effective maintenance, minimizing downtime.

u2022 Lead the team in executing predictive, preventive, proactive, and corrective maintenance, maintaining equipment reliability.

u2022 Administrate team activities, ensuring adherence to Borouge's HSE policies and procedures.

u2022 Monitor work execution, ensuring quality and timely completion, supporting Borouge's business goals.

Maintenance & Inspection

u2022 Conduct troubleshooting on LV/HV electrical equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and repair, enhancing system reliability.

u2022 Supervise installation, repair, and maintenance jobs, ensuring compliance with Borouge's standards.

u2022 Inspect completed jobs for conformity to statutory and company standards, ensuring quality and safety.

u2022 Regularly inspect workshops and workplaces, maintaining good housekeeping and organization.

u2022 Review tools and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage, supporting maintenance activities.

u2022 Ensure team members have proper PPEs and adhere to HSE rules, promoting a safe working environment.

Planning & Coordination

u2022 Discuss daily maintenance and start-up schedules with planners and operation teams, optimizing resource use.

u2022 Ensure execution of scheduled maintenance activities, maintaining proper operating conditions of Borouge's assets.

u2022 Coordinate technical support for shift personnel, addressing job requirements effectively.

u2022 Provide day-to-day instructions for safe job execution, ensuring compliance with Borouge's safety standards.

u2022 Supervise maintenance jobs, minimizing failures and ensuring equipment reliability and availability.

u2022 Perform inspections and approve functional tests, ensuring equipment meets operational standards.

HSE Compliance

u2022 Participate in safety audits and area walk-downs, ensuring compliance with Borouge's HSE policies.

u2022 Conduct task risk assessments, maintaining safety at work locations to ensure work orders are properly confirmed and failure codes are recorded in SAP, supporting maintenance tracking.

u2022 Maintain records of work performed and progress, supporting compliance and reporting.

u2022 Perform time entry approval for technicians, ensuring accurate tracking of work hours.

u2022 Keep abreast and knowledgeable on the updates for Health, Safety, Environment, Crisis Management, and Risk Registers for all the performed processes, projects, and activities within the operating zone.

u2022 Supervise the acts by the team to ensure compliance with HSE-related procedures, practices, and norms in the workspace. Ensure compliance with Borouge's electrical safety procedures and HSE requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

u2022 Attend interface meetings with project teams and custodian departments, resolving issues and promoting good working relations.

u2022 Coordinate with different departments, ensuring timely completion of maintenance jobs.

u2022 Maintain equipment files and records, supporting maintenance history and compliance.

u2022 Ensure LV/HV electrical equipment can be operated safely and in compliance with local laws and Borouge's guidelines.

u2022 Ensure proper management of waste and adherence to environmental regulations, supporting Borouge's sustainability goals.

Resource Management

u2022 Review and approve procurement of required spare parts, ensuring availability and quality. Ensure unused materials are returned to the warehouse within defined time, supporting inventory management.

u2022 Receive and physically inspect delivered spare parts, ensuring they meet specifications.

u2022 Complete detailed technical feedback in SAP, supporting future failure analysis.

u2022 Verify execution of PM plans for equipment maintenance and preservation, ensuring adherence to procedures.

u2022 Coordinate annual leave plans for team members, ensuring even workforce distribution and minimum availability.

Training & Development

u2022 Determine training needs for team members, ensuring adequate on-the-job training for skill development.

u2022 Contribute to the evaluation of contractor technicians, following up on their performance.

u2022 Initiate failure reports and support root cause failure analysis, improving maintenance practices.

u2022 Raise material reservations and assist in the receipt of materials, ensuring quality and availability.

u2022 Segregate repairable and non-repairable items, supporting efficient maintenance operations.

u2022 Participate in the development and review of work instructions and checklists, ensuring effective maintenance execution.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification

u2022 Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Technology or discipline.

u2022 Good command, communication, and technical reporting writing skills in English Language.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

u2022 Minimum of 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in installation, repair, testing and maintenance of a wide range equipment items of production facilities in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.

u2022 Previous supervisory experience leading maintenance teams in large-scale industrial environments.

u2022 Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems (up to 132kV), transformers, switchgears, and motor control centers (MCC).

u2022 Maintenance and troubleshooting experience on LV/HV Electrical and system Equipment in Oil & Gas industries.

u2022 Hands on SAP basic work management operations related to Electrical maintenance.

u2022 Hands on the documentation and reporting procedures for abnormal conditions.

u2022 IPCS and SCMS operating knowledge Electrical Engineering Diagrams & Drawings LV/HV Electrical equipment and system Installation, Repair & Hi-Pot Testing Knowledge of computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)

u2022 Working knowledge on Operation & Maintenance manuals and engineering documents/drawings. to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and to determine optimum equipment functioning.

u2022 Ability to lead and communicate to a team of multi-cultural, multi-national personnels.

Professional Certifications

Preferred to be certified in one or more of the following, or relevant certifications:

u2022 Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP).

u2022 High Voltage Switching and Maintenance Certification.

u2022 Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).

u2022 NEBOSH or IOSH Certification.
