Synopsis

The Documentation Systems Officer plays a key role in ensuring the secure, efficient, and effective management of departmental systems and data. By administering documentation platforms, supporting users, and driving workflow automation, this role helps unlock smarter ways of working across Flight Operations and beyond.

Accountabilities
  • System administration: Oversee the Document Management System (DMS), ensuring compliance with workflows, resolving system issues, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Digital platform ownership: Manage departmental SharePoint and Power BI sites, including content management, user access, and site functionality.
  • Technical support: Provide frontline support and training for internal users; escalate advanced technical issues to the Digital Systems Manager.
  • Access & security: Maintain user accounts, access permissions, and system controls across internal and client-facing platforms.
  • Reporting & analytics: Generate reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support decision-making and compliance monitoring.
  • Process optimization: Collaborate with colleagues to streamline documentation workflows, automate processes, and identify opportunities for digital improvement.
  • Integration & projects: Support the integration of third-party software and contribute to departmental digital transformation initiatives.
  • Administrative support: Assist with departmental record-keeping, KPI/SPIs analysis, and general administrative tasks.
Education & experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within aviation or a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including advanced use of Power BI.
  • Familiarity with documentation management systems and digital workflows.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Based in Abu Dhabi and part of ADQ Aviation & Aerospace Services, Etihad Aviation Training (EAT) is an Approved Training Organization (ATO) located in the capital of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi. EAT provides an extensive portfolio of aviation training courses and programs covering all areas of pilot, cabin crew and airport operations.

The courses vary from ab-initio pilot license, Airbus and Boeing type ratings, instructor and examiner training, cabin crew training, English language proficiency testing, first aid.

With the recent inclusion of Gulf Center for Aviation Studies (GCAS), one of a few centers globally accredited by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), EAT offers training programs focused on airport operations, aviation safety, aviation security, cargo & dangerous goods, and non-aviation training such as health & safety, leadership & management, soft skills.

EAT's training center is approved by several Civil Aviation Authorities including GCAA (UAE), EASA (Europe) and QCAA (Qatar). Training at EAT is conducted by using its state-of-the-art training center featuring 10 full-flight simulators (Airbus and Boeing), 7 flight training devices and 2 flight navigation procedural trainers.
