Job Description

We are looking for a competent and experienced Civil Engineer to join our engineering team, providing design and technical support for a major onshore oil and gas project in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of civil and structural engineering design in the oil and gas sector, with a focus on infrastructure and foundations for process and utility facilities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prepare and review civil and structural design deliverables including site development, grading, roads, foundations, trenches, and concrete/steel structures.
• Develop detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications in accordance with project requirements and international standards.
• Coordinate closely with other disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure seamless design integration.
• Review and approve drawings, BOQs, material specifications, and construction work packages.
• Support geotechnical assessments, topographic surveys, and site civil design for greenfield and brownfield developments.
• Participate in constructability reviews, risk assessments, and design optimization studies.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors as needed.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in civil and structural design within the onshore oil and gas industry.
• Strong experience in infrastructure development for oil and gas facilities, including foundations for equipment, pipe racks, and buildings.
• Proficient in civil/structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, ASTM, API).
• Ability to interpret soil investigation reports and integrate geotechnical recommendations into design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of working in a multidisciplinary, multicultural team environment.
• Previous experience working with major EPC contractors or oil and gas operators in the Middle East.
• Experience with design for arid or desert climates, including stormwater management and earthworks.
• Knowledge of modular construction and prefabrication techniques is a plus.
• Work on a high-impact project contributing to regional energy development.
