Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer with a primary focus on electrical engineering for building maintenance. The candidate will also support HVAC, plumbing, ELV and other MEP systems as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee electrical systems maintenance, including LV panels / SMDBs, lighting panels, power outlets / circuits, emergency lighting, metering panels, switchgear / RMUs, MV distribution panels, transformers, HV switchgear, generators / UPS / capacitor banks / ATS, fire alarm panels, BMS interface, lightning protection, earthing / grounding.
• Oversee all aspects of building maintenance, including initial maintenance, reactive and corrective maintenance, mock-up flat preparations, and minor or ad hoc projects
• Plan, supervise, and execute preventive maintenance (PPM) via in-house teams and outsourced service providers.
• Monitor and maintain AC, plumbing, ELV and other MEP systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
• Utilize CAFM systems for work order management, asset tracking, QA QC and Facility audits
• Review and supervise maintenance contracts with vendors to ensure SLA compliance.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, local regulations, and company policies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff and stakeholders.
• Participate in budgeting, asset lifecycle planning, including upgrades, replacements
• Drive energy management and sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency projects, monitoring consumption, and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Coordinate with Etihad Water and Electricity as and when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or MEP Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in building maintenance or facility management (UAE preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems: LV, HV, MV, SMDBs, capacitor banks, backup power, and distribution networks.
• Soft skills – MS office (Excel, word, power point), AutoCAD, outlook, CAFM software's
• Understanding of AC, ELV plumbing, and general MEP systems.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, contractors, and in-house teams.
• UAE driving License , Preferably Manual

• Languages: Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Arabic and Hindi are added advantages.
