MATERIAL ASSISTANT

salary: 2400 AED

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized Material Assistant who supports daily warehouse operations, focusing on:

• material handling
• containerization
• transport coordination.

This role ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods and maintains an organized storage environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with various departments to determine material and supply needs
• Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies
• Maintain accurate records of all materials and supplies
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to production teams
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and resolve any issues
• Conduct regular inventory checks to identify any discrepancies or shortages
• Monitor and track material usage and waste to identify areas for improvement
• Assist with the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures
• Train and supervise junior material assistants as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and storage area

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent;

• 3+ years of relevant experience in material handling, warehouse management related to the Oil & Gas industry
• Proficient in English.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory control techniques
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Must be able to lift and move heavy objects
