Structural Engineer - Tender

Job Description

China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) is recruiting a Structural Engineer to join our Technical team at the company head office in Dubai.

• Analyze architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and BOQs to understand project scope and technical requirements.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for structural elements (e.g., foundations, columns, slabs, cores, etc.) from drawings for estimation purposes.
• Assess the proposed structural system (e.g., RCC, post-tensioning, steel frame) for feasibility, economy, and compliance with codes.
• Develop detailed technical method statements for major structural works including excavation, shoring, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, and tower crane setups.
• Plan and propose optimal construction sequences, considering high-rise construction challenges like vertical progression and formwork cycles.
• Collaborate with internal or consultant structural engineers to resolve technical queries and ensure structural compliance.
• Highlight potential structural or constructability risks (e.g., deep foundations, load transfers, temporary works) and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical clarifications and structural assumptions to support cost estimation and pricing accuracy.
• Suggest alternate structural systems, materials, or construction techniques to optimize cost, time, and performance.
• Prepare the structural section of the technical proposal, including methodology, construction program, equipment, and manpower plans.

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Civil/Structure
• 5+ Years&apos of relevant work experience
