C2i is recruiting for Time Out Market, to build the team behind one of Abu Dhabi's most anticipated openings. We're looking for passionate professionals to join us as we prepare to open Abu Dhabi's first Time Out Market — a vibrant new destination for food, culture and entertainment under one roof!
ABOUT THE ROLE
We love what we do and it shows! Time Out Market is the division of Time Out that brings our food and cultural experiences to life for our guests, readers and clients.
Our Market Ambassadors are the first impression of the Market and must provide clear information to each arriving guest to ensure that each enjoys a memorable experience with every visit.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Monitor entrance and exit areas and greet guests as they arrive
- Provide guests information on the Market upon arrival to enhance their knowledge of the operation and their experience
- Provide each guest with a sincere thank you upon departure, with an invitation to return
- Monitor guests entering and exiting to ensure no outside food or beverage enters the Market, and that no alcoholic beverages leave it
- Inform Market Management and Security of any incidents or potential incidents
- Perform all assigned duties detailed in your opening, afternoon and closing checklists
- Answer calls promptly and provide information correctly
- Complete all administrative duties competently, efficiently and in a timely manner
- Move furniture as directed by management, including tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes and equipment
- Be fully conversant with the Company's emergency procedures, policies and employee handbook, the layout of the operation, and the whereabouts of all operational equipment
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Market vendors, vendor menu offerings and beverage offerings
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of surrounding parking and transport access
- Assist with and/or complete additional tasks as assigned
- Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, verbally and in writing, with staff, clients and the public
- Ability to create and maintain a sense of urgency
- A positive attitude, always — plus an open and objective view
- Ability to listen empathetically and be respectful at all times
- Ability to maintain composure and stay focused
- Ability to work as a team, stay organised, handle various projects at once, follow up and make accurate decisions
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High School Diploma preferred
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United Arab Emirates
- Hospitality, restaurant, bar and lounge operations

THE ENVIRONMENT
Restaurant environment with varying levels of noise and crowds depending on guest volume. The role is physically active — extended periods standing, moving at pace, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Varied shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.A professional, neat and well-groomed appearance is required at all times.
