Analyst – Onboarding and Account Operations

The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) is the supervisory and regulatory authority of the banking and insurance sector in the United Arab Emirates. CBUAE is responsible for enhancing monetary management, financial stability and protecting consumers through effective supervision of licensed financial institutions, prudent management of reserves, robust financial infrastructure and the adoption of digital technologies.

The Centralised Operations Department is seeking to hire a seasoned and highly motivated professional for the role of Analyst – Onboarding and Account Operations . The successful candidate will be responsible for executing designated operational activities to ensure service standards are met, and operational risks are effectively managed.

Core Responsibilities
  • Carry out a range of operational, administrative, data entry, reconciliation, and monitoring activities, , ensuring all work is completed accurately, within agreed timelines, and in compliance with CBUAE policies, procedures, standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support and deliver assigned projects and initiatives, in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring alignment with approved specifications and budget requirements.
  • Ensure all activities performed by self, and where applicable the team, comply with CBUAE policies, procedures, standards, applicable regulations, and international best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to existing procedures and systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry best practices, and CBUAE products and services to support continuous improvement .
  • Participate in the evaluation, testing and implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems,, including conducting robust User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in accordance with CBUAE standards.
  • Provide backup support for colleagues during periods of absence.
  • Provide operational business support during weekends, public holidays, and other periods when required.
  • Perform additional duties or higher level as assigned by line management.
  • Deliver designated activities effectively to support internal departments, customers, and counterparties in accordance with agreed service standards.
  • Foster effective collaboration within the department and across CBUAE to enhance efficiency and service excellence.
  • Support line management in implementing changes and improvements within the functional area, as required.
Self-Management Responsibilities
  • Define annual performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensure that the goals are achieved throughout the year
  • Identify training and development requirements and agree with the reporting manager
  • Strive to achieve high levels of proficiency across all competencies and skills required for the role.
  • Keep abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration are preferred .
  • More than three (3) years of relevant experience in similar role.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, Accounting and Cash Management services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Professional communication skills.
