Asset & Facilities Management Expert

Job Description

We are looking to hire an Asset & Facilities Management Expert who will be responsible for leading the technical setup and operational readiness of a prestigious organizations newly established Asset & Facilities Management Section, ensuring compliance with audit requirements, DGEP criteria, and Dubai Government asset management standards for our client based in Dubai which is one of the largest organizations in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is non-renewable.

The role sits within the Asset and Facility Management department and reports directly to the Head of Asset & Facilities Management.

We are looking for a passionate Asset & Facilities Management Expert who is motivated about implementing robust asset management systems, operational governance frameworks, and HSE guidelines. You should also have experience in Dubai Government compliance, DGEP frameworks, and technical expertise in asset lifecycle systems, audit resolution, and inventory controls.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the development and implementation of asset management policies and procedures.
• Conduct full asset inventory verification, including tagging, documentation, and system updates.
• Provide subject matter expertise to resolve audit findings and ensure full compliance.
• Prepare and deliver DGEP-required frameworks, sustainability documents, and reports.
• Develop HSE guidelines specific to asset/facility risks and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Support the selection, enhancement, or integration of asset management tools or platforms.
• Establish operational governance, including SOPs, ownership matrices, and workflow maps.
• Coach and train staff, ensuring knowledge retention and long-term sustainability.
• Develop asset-related KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
• Oversee store management operations, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, proper asset storage, and timely updates to the asset management system.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Facilities/Asset Management, or related field (Masters or certifications like ISO 55001, PMP, or CFM preferred).
• Minimum of 710 years in asset and facilities management, preferably within government or large organizations in UAE.
• Dubai Government compliance, audit practices, and DGEP frameworks.
• Asset lifecycle systems, inventory controls, tagging, depreciation, and utilization.
• HSE requirements and sustainability in facilities management.
• Strong stakeholder management and training delivery.
• Technical writing for policies, SOPs, and audit documentation.
• System integration and data validation experience.
• Advanced analytical skills for asset performance reporting and KPI tracking.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance, including Dubai Government Law No. 12 of 2020, DGEP standards, and HSE requirements.
• Expertise in inventory control, store management, and stock reconciliation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
