Role overview

Based out of the UAE you'll be responsible for continuing their expansion by working with intermediaries, partners, and clients across the world. Working as part of the Global Distribution Team in partnership with AXA Global Healthcare, you'll develop multi-tier relationships and drive new business growth.

In this role you'll lead from the front by owning your sales channel.

Our client is seeking candidates with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets, looking for an opportunity to progress within a growing team and business. The role does require occasional travel when appropriate.

Mandate of Large Corporate Sales, International division
  • Focus on the corporate client segment and create bespoke tailored insurance solutions
  • Shared accountability for the large corporate sales channel, responsible for converting leads into sales
  • Develop, manage and maintain a panel of intermediaries to drive business growth and large corporate sales
  • Create and maintain a sales pipeline to deliver long term growth
  • Understand the wider AXA Global Healthcare partnership and leverage global insurance solutions to meet your clients needs
  • Attend and deliver consistent Broker meetings to your panel. Provide monthly updates and have visibility with the broker network as required.
  • Improve online capabilities and accessibility by offering multiple digital channels, different partners and service points
  • Support cost containment initiatives and claims management including wellness and community health initiatives
  • market penetration, acquire new business and new clients
Role Purpose
  • Seek out and close new business opportunities working towards agreed individual and team sales targets.
  • Leading external sales pitches to clients and intermediaries as required, international travel may be required.
  • Relationship building with designated brokers by telephone and face to face, ensuring the market is kept up to date with our clients proposition.
  • Managing the new business sales process from 1st contact through to implementation, working closely with key internal stakeholders.
  • Managing the pipeline and keeping the CRM system updated accurately with funnel activity.
  • Preparing formal tenders in adherence with the agreed internal bid process.:
  • Develop and execute the company's business plan; expand customer base, grow the Gross Written Premium (GWP) and ensure its strong presence in the UAE market
  • Identify emerging market opportunities while being fully aware of new Employee Benefits (EB) product concepts and competitors
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the regulatory environment
  • Build and promote strong and long-lasting corporate relationships with insurers, brokers, targeting direct clients and large employer groups
Key Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales; out of which 5 years in insurance
  • Technical experience in health insurance is a must
  • Bachelor's degree in any field is mandatory
  • Master's degree is a plus
  • CII qualification is an advantage
Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent sales and leadership skills
  • Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an added advantage
  • Broad knowledge of health insurance concepts
  • Deep knowledge in distribution channel management
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Experienced in working in a multi-cultural environment and able to work as part of a team
