Job Description

Overview:

The role demands strong reporting capabilities, excellent communication, and a passion for maintaining high HSE standards in a dynamic operational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example on-site
• Conduct routine inspections and identify unsafe acts/conditions across operations and maintenance
• Guide and support teams on the implementation of HSE best practices
• Carry out risk assessments for hazardous activities and ensure mitigation controls are enforced
• Oversee emergency response plans and ensure relevant tools and equipment are functional
• Organize and lead periodic safety drills and ensure emergency teams are trained and competent
• Maintain documentation and monthly reporting of emergency equipment status
• Monitor shutdowns and preventive maintenance days to ensure compliance with HSE rules
• Track HSE performance metrics during major operational events
• Inspect tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure full HSE compliance
• Deliver HSE inductions for new joiners and assist in visitor orientations
• Monitor health and fitness-to-work documentation for all staff
• Participate in accident investigations and reporting
• Support and participate in HSE events such as campaigns, training days, and safety awareness initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline
• Safety certifications such as NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Level 3 (mandatory)
• 58 years of HSE experience in a Readymix OR cement industry
• Strong understanding of HSE procedures, audits, risk assessments, and compliance requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Eye for detail and strong listening skills
• Ability to influence and train teams at all levels on safety practices
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
