Business Head - Wealth Management (NRI)

The following the responsibilities of the role
  • Define and execute the overall business strategy for the NRI segment, aligned with the organisation's broader wealth management objectives.
  • Build, lead and scale a high‑performing NRI-focused relationship management and advisory team.
  • Develop and manage relationships with high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth NRI clients, acting as a senior point of contact for key relationships.
  • Drive asset gathering, revenue growth and profitability across investment, advisory and lending solutions relevant to NRI clients.
  • Oversee client acquisition strategies across priority geographies, referral networks and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure delivery of holistic wealth solutions, including investments, portfolio advisory, estate and succession planning, and cross‑border structuring.
  • Work closely with investment, product, legal and compliance teams to ensure solutions are aligned with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Monitor market trends, client needs and competitive dynamics within the NRI wealth management space.
  • Maintain strong governance, risk management and conduct standards across all client and business activities.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, client forums and strategic engagements relevant to the NRI segment.

The ideal candidate has the following:

  • 15+ years' experience in private banking or wealth management, with a significant focus on NRI clientele.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or professional certifications preferred.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling NRI-focused wealth management businesses.
  • Deep understanding of NRI client needs, including cross‑border investments, structuring, taxation considerations and succession planning.
  • Strong leadership experience managing senior relationship managers and advisory teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, client acquisition and long‑term client retention.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with credibility at UHNW client level.
  • Strong commercial judgement, governance mindset and commitment to ethical client outcomes.
