General Summary
The Work Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing and improving the work management system at Emirates Steel. This includes governance, auditing, and continuous improvement of work management processes, particularly focusing on KPIs and lagging indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance, audit performance, and drive improvements to increase plant reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor and improve work management and reliability KPIs.
- Standardize work management processes across Emirates Steel plants.
- Work with teams including Maintenance, Planners, and Strategic Spares Expert to improve planning, scheduling, and spares management.
- Minimize labor waste across all work management areas (planning, scheduling, execution).
- Support the Reliability Manager and assist in optimizing maintenance window frequencies and shutdown planning.
- Lead audits and continuous improvement initiatives in work management, including the implementation of Lean principles.
- Implement training and audits to achieve Emirates Steel's strategic targets.
- Ensure compliance with all company HSE standards and regulations.
- Integrate work management systems with spares management for maximum efficiency.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, and work management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze data and implement improvements.
- Leadership and coordination skills.
- Experience with inventory management, materials planning, and modern techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in planning or work management, exposure to ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Professional training in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Asset Management.
- Work Management KPIs, Schedule Compliance, Target Wrench Time, Internal Customer Satisfaction, and Audit Compliance.
- Health & Safety Culture, Planning & Decision Making, Results-Oriented, Innovation, Leadership, and Effective Communication.
