Product Desinger - Digital Payments Wallet

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Designer to lead the design of a next-generation digital payments and wallet application. This role will focus on delivering seamless, secure, and scalable user experiences across the full payments lifecycle, including onboarding, wallet usage, and transaction flows.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing high-volume, transaction-driven applications, with a deep understanding of financial user behavior, regulatory constraints, and mobile-first ecosystems.

• Own the end-to-end design lifecycle for a digital payments application (research → wireframes → prototypes → final UI)
• Design intuitive user experiences for wallets, P2P transfers, QR payments, bill payments, remittances, and merchant checkout flows
• Create seamless digital onboarding journeys, including KYC, authentication, and verification flows
• Translate complex financial workflows and compliance requirements into simple, user-friendly interfaces
• Optimize transaction journeys for speed, clarity, success rates, and error handling
• Build and maintain scalable design systems and UI component libraries
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, and Customer Experience teams
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and analytics-driven design improvements
• Ensure consistency across mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms, following accessibility and usability standards
• Contribute to UX strategy, journey mapping, and service design across the payments ecosystem

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 5–8+ years of experience in Product Design, with strong exposure to digital payments, wallets, or banking applications
• Proven portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI design for transaction-heavy mobile applications
• Hands-on experience designing:
• Wallet interfaces and payment flows
• Checkout and merchant payment journeys
• KYC/onboarding and authentication flows
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools
• Strong understanding of design systems, interaction design, and usability principles
• Familiarity with regulated environments (KYC, AML, secure authentication, fraud prevention)
• Experience working in Agile product teams with close engineering collaboration
• Ability to simplify complex backend/payment processes into intuitive user journeys
• Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills

• Experience in mobile-first FinTech ecosystems or telecom-linked payment platforms
• Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 workflows, service design, and customer journey orchestration
• Exposure to API-driven integrations (payment gateways, banking systems, third-party services)
• Understanding of data-driven UX, funnel optimization, and conversion metrics
• Experience designing for emerging markets or high-growth digital ecosystems
