Site Engineer - Construction Industry

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of construction experience in the UAE to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring quality standards, and managing on-site operations while maintaining compliance with UAE construction regulations and safety standards.

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site
• Monitor project progress against established timelines and milestones
• Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE building codes
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and various trade teams
• Prepare and maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments

• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Perform on-site measurements, surveys, and setting out of construction works
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during construction
• Ensure proper implementation of design changes and variations
• Conduct material testing and verification as per project specifications
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings and documentation

• Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations and UAE building standards
• Coordinate with consultants for inspections and approvals
• Maintain adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations
• Document and report any quality issues or non-conformances
• Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials

• Liaise with project managers, architects, and consulting engineers
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding project status
• Attend regular site meetings and coordinate with all project parties
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments
• Handle correspondence related to technical and site matters

• Maintain comprehensive site records and documentation
• Process and verify contractor invoices and payment certificates
• Track material consumption and wastage
• Prepare variation orders and change requests
• Ensure proper documentation for project handover

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional engineering license or eligibility for UAE engineering registration
• Valid UAE driving license
• NEBOSH/IOSH safety certification (preferred)

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on construction experience in the UAE
• Proven experience in building construction, infrastructure projects, or similar
• Experience with high-rise buildings, residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards, Dubai Municipality regulations, and local building codes
• Experience working with international consultants and contractors in the UAE market

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction management software
• Knowledge of surveying equipment and instruments
• Understanding of construction materials, methods, and best practices
• Familiarity with MEP coordination and building services integration

• Fluent in English (written and spoken) - mandatory
• Arabic language skills preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
• Experience with LEED or sustainable construction practices
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar project management tools
• Previous experience with government and semi-government projects in UAE
