Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be essential in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient month-end closings, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
The ideal candidate is a Qualified Senior Accountant with 4+ years of experience; proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We seek someone who enjoys challenges, has strong analytical skills, and brings a positive and enthusiastic attitude to the team.
Key Responsibilities- Support and review the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Perform account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues efficiently.
- Work across a regional entity with complex accounting treatments in line with IFRS or relevant local GAAP.
- Maintain and enhance accounting processes to drive operational efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
- Work in a highly dynamic and fast-moving environment, adapting to evolving business needs.
- 4-7 years of Accounting Experience (with previous experience at a management consultancy firm)
- ACCA qualification is essential
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid experience in accounting and financial closing processes.
- Solid audit experience
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- English (essential) and Arabic (nice to have) language skills
- Previous experience in a Big Four accounting firm (highly preferred).
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and financial software - Workday,/Quickbooks
