Mid-Level Structural Engineer – Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB)

Location: UAE / GCC Preferred

Position Overview

As part of the newly established Pre-Engineering discipline within our factory operations, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Mid-Level Structural Engineer (PEB Specialist) to support the design, optimization, and coordination of Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design development, engineering coordination, and technical support for industrial buildings, warehouses, aircraft hangars, canopies, and other steel structures, ensuring compliance with international design standards and project requirements.

• Perform structural analysis and design of PEB structures, including primary and secondary steel members.
• Prepare structural design calculations and optimize steel quantities to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Design and review steel connections, base plates, anchor bolts, bracing systems, and related structural components.
• Coordinate with detailing teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of shop, fabrication, and erection drawings.
• Review General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and erection drawings for compliance with design intent and project specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable international standards, including AISC, MBMA, ASCE, IBC, and local authority requirements.
• Collaborate with architectural, MEP, project management, production, procurement, and site teams to resolve technical issues and design clashes.
• Provide engineering support during fabrication, procurement, and site erection phases.
• Review and approve material take-offs, BOQs, and engineering documentation.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to design efficiency, standardization, and engineering best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

• 5–10 years of experience in structural steel design and engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of dedicated experience in Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) design.
• Proven experience in industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, canopies, aircraft hangars, and long-span steel structures.
• Experience working on GCC/UAE projects is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of PEB systems, design principles, and optimization methodologies.
• Proficiency in:
• MBS (Metal Building Software)
• STAAD.Pro
• Tekla Structures
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Sound knowledge of:
• AISC
• MBMA
• ASCE
• IBC
• Relevant international and local design codes
• Experience in steel connection design and detailing coordination.
• Familiarity with Tekla Modeling and connection design software is an added advantage.

Salary Range: AED 8,000 – 12,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
