Job Description

The Museum Exhibition Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing engaging exhibitions that enhance visitor experience and support the museum's mission. This role involves collaborating with curators, educators, and other staff to create visually compelling displays that effectively communicate the stories behind collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop creative exhibition concepts and layouts based on curatorial vision and educational objectives.
• Design floor plans, display cases, lighting, graphics, and interactive elements to optimize visitor engagement and accessibility.
• Work closely with museum teams and external vendors to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
• Oversee the installation process, ensuring exhibits meet safety and preservation standards.
• Stay current with trends in exhibition design, materials, and technology to continuously improve museum experiences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Exhibition Design, Interior Design, Museum Studies, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Experience in museum, gallery, or similar settings preferred.
