Job purpose

You will be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of all plannable maintenance work performed by the maintenance team.
In this role you will- Plan, schedule, allocate and coordinate all jobs undertaken by the maintenance team while ensuring optimum resource utilisation.
- Anticipate and mitigate potential delays through the proactive planning and coordination of manpower, material, tool and equipment availability.
- Prepare annual and monthly preventive maintenance schedules based on approved frequencies to ensure that all assets maintained by technical services are well maintained and conform to the applicable quality requirements.
- Interact and communicate regularly with internal and external customers, the material planning team and the maintenance team to effectively manage the interfaces between all stakeholders.
- Update the maintenance management system with relevant information whenever an asset is inducted, withdrawn or transferred to other operating locations ensuring accuracy of data to enable precise recording of asset history, maintenance and operating costs.
- Review the weekly maintenance plan including but not limited to preventive and corrective maintenances, modifications, accident repairs, special jobs etc., and notify amendments, inclusions, exclusions or additional jobs if any, to relevant teams for release of schedule to operational departments.
- Utilize the maintenance management system to ensure that the operating status of the asset is reflected accurately to allow downtime reporting, generate asset reliability reports and provide exception reports at pre-determined frequency to relevant stakeholders for information and follow up.
- Monitor and report on the work order management process to ensure timely booking of costs and recognition of revenue.
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Create and upload job plans in the maintenance management system aimed to ensure or extend the life expectancy of assets and aid in optimisation of maintenance cost and maintain the designed reliability of the asset.
- Ensure job plans are prepared in adherence to manufacturer's recommendations, local regulations, safety requirements and specific operational requirements.
- Maintain the records, data and files in the maintenance management system essential for required analysis, reporting of maintenance related matters, monitoring of asset performance and resource utilisation.
- Ensure that work orders are raised for all jobs undertaken.
- Raise material requisitions and/or purchase requisitions for all material requirements related to the execution of work. Ensure all required materials are made available to the maintenance teams as soon as reasonably possible.
- Maintain the technical library including manufacturer's operating instructions, spare parts manuals, maintenance manuals, technical service bulletins etc., in an orderly and easily accessible manner.
- Provide assistance to relevant stakeholders on special projects by gathering data, researching information and generating reports or drawings as needed.
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree or diploma from recognised institution in any of the following engineering disciplines:
- Automotive
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Mechanical
- Hydraulics
- Diesel engine
Experience
Degree holders with 4 to 6 years of experience or diploma holders with 6 to 8 years of experience in the field of maintenance in the below industries. At least 2 to 3 years of total experience should be in the field of maintenance planning and scheduling using computerised maintenance management systems like Maximo or similar.
- GSE and cargo workshops in other airports
- Baggage handling in airports
- Automobile workshop (cars, pickups, vans, small buses)
- Heavy equipment (earth moving, trucks, buses, construction, waste management, heavy material handling)
- Process and manufacturing industries (refineries, aluminium processing, food processing, automated material handling, paper and plastic products are few examples)
- Transportation industry (rail, metro etc.)
- Training on maintenance planning and scheduling from recognised service providers.
- UAE driving licence preferred in order to gain ADP.
- Proficient understanding of maintenance practices.
- English language skills at level 4.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Proficient safety awareness skills.
- IT and computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office applications.
- Quality orientation skills.
