Senior Systems Engineer – Messaging & Identity

About the Role

You will play a key role in ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical systems that support collaboration and business operations.

• Manage and support Microsoft Exchange environments including Exchange Server and Exchange Online across hybrid deployments
• Administer identity and access platforms including Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID with focus on authentication, conditional access, and group policy management
• Perform Microsoft 365 administration including tenant configuration, licensing, and service health monitoring along with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business
• Operate virtualization platforms with a focus on VMware vSphere including virtual machine lifecycle management and performance optimization
• Maintain Windows Server infrastructure including server builds, patching, and configuration of services such as DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services, KMS, and Remote Desktop Services
• Implement and manage data protection and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention policies
• Ensure system security through hardening practices and collaboration with security teams for threat detection and remediation
• Lead infrastructure projects including migrations involving Exchange, Microsoft 365, identity platforms, and virtualization technologies
• Develop migration strategies, runbooks, rollback procedures, and post implementation validation plans
• Troubleshoot complex issues across messaging, identity, virtualization, and server environments and perform root cause analysis
• Maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
• Follow ITIL aligned processes for change management, incident management, and problem management
• Monitor system performance and generate reports on service availability and capacity
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including networking, security, and application teams to deliver reliable solutions

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online including hybrid configurations and migrations
• Extensive experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and identity synchronization tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration including tenant management and integration with on premises systems
• Hands on experience with VMware vSphere and virtualization best practices
• Strong Windows Server administration skills including patching, security, and services configuration
• Experience implementing Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention policies
• Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell
• Familiarity with monitoring and reporting tools across infrastructure platforms
• Good understanding of ITIL processes and structured change management practices

• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, messaging, identity, and virtualization environments
