Role overview
We are looking for a graphics designer to provide graphics expertise on multi-disciplinary transport planning projects for the public and private sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality reports, presentations and other documentation for external use and publication.
- Produce high-quality graphics in the forms of maps, plans and illustrations within Illustrator, Photoshop and AutoCAD for use within bids and formal submissions.
- Work on a number of individual projects concurrently and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Adhere to Atkins BMS and procedures.
- Work as part of an integrated building design team and coordinate with other design disciplines.
Requirements:
Technical competencies
Essential:
- Diploma/degree in appropriate area.
- Significant expertise and experience in a number of mainstream graphics packages, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and SketchUp. Ability to use AutoCAD to a high standard is also essential.
- Minimum 5 years experience ideally within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
- Ability to produce high quality, creative and attractive reports and other documentation within InDesign (a sample of work may be requested).
- Ability to produce high quality, creative and attractive presentations with PowerPoint.
- Ability to produce high quality graphics in the forms of maps, plans and illustrations within Illustrator, Photoshop and AutoCAD.
- Ability for self-checking and correction of work.
- Appreciation of the work of other disciplines.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit and other related software packages.
- Exposure to multidisciplinary consultancy environment within GCC region with a focus on transport related projects.
- Ability to travel without restriction throughout the GCC region.
