Job Description
The Department of Mechanical Engineering (MCE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a regular or visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencing in Fall Semester 2026.The successful candidate for the regular position will be expected to establish a high-level, active research program supported by internal and external funding sources. The visiting faculty positions are primarily focused on teaching. The visiting position is a one-year renewable contract.
The applicant is required to have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research are expected from the candidates. In addition, experience in the American model of higher education is highly desirable.
