Role Overview
As a sales executive, you will achieve assigned portfolio revenue targets whilst supporting the overall country plan and commercial target by ensuring that the line of business position in the market is protected. Source new business and maintain existing business, whilst planning, managing, and implementing sales and marketing activities within the assigned portfolio of corporate and travel agencies within designated work areas.
In this role, you will:
- Plan
Participate and actively contribute to planning sessions by providing constructive feedback and customer trends and insights to help identify new opportunities and challenges, ensuring that the product range, pricing, promotion plans, and sales strategies are well suited to the marketplace.
- Deploy
Coordinate the distribution of quality marketing and promotional collateral and material.
- Lead
Gather and analyse competitor intelligence and market trends with action-based data to support management in refining sales and business strategies to ensure the business maintains a leading position in the market.
- Execute
Achieve or exceed revenue and passenger targets within the allocated area of work to support the growth objectives of the business.
Execute and monitor incentive programmes with travel trade and corporate houses within established guidelines and ensure revenue targets are met.Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data, providing feedback and recommendations to the sales manager.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or sales roles and 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
- Sales experience in the travel or airline industry.
- Experience in the travel agency, GDS, or airline industry including 5 years in outdoor sales and marketing capacity.
- Sabre GDS user knowledge would be an advantage.
- Current experience and knowledge of travel trade distribution is essential.
- Experience and knowledge of the travel trade and corporate sector is essential.
- Strong customer service, presentation, and negotiation skills are a must.
- Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be adaptable and a strong team player with the ability to work under pressure.
- Valid UAE driver's license.
- Must be prepared to work after hours and weekends when needed.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
