Job purpose
To lead the detailed engineering, design, assembly, and testing team of various Safety Instrumented Systems as per the project specification requirements.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities- Lead the Safety System Engineering Team in a project.
- Review the project technical requirements, specifications, and standards.
- Preparation and review of work procedures and hardware/product specifications.
- Report to the Project Manager on day-to-day activities.
- Perform and review the detailed engineering, design, assembly, and testing of the system as per the project specification requirements.
- Preparation and review of Bill of Material for various Safety Systems.
- Coordinate with Customer Engineers for technical issues.
- Preparation and review of Purchase Order for various project materials.
- Assist the Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer as and when required for technical issues.
- Preparation of Safety Validation Plan for Safety Projects.
- Coordinate with Document Controller for control of project documentation and QC Engineer for inspection and testing related activities.
- Arrange internal meetings/project walkthroughs for achieving project milestones.
- Project progress monitoring and control.
- Participate in site acceptance test, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Adhere to the Project Schedule and Project Quality Plan.
- Preparation of scope of work deviations and tracking.
- A degree in engineering field, preferably in instrumentation, electronics, or electrical.
- Minimum 14 years experience in the field of instrumentation and control and safety systems.
- Safety Training B Certificates.
- TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification (preferable).
- Knowledge of IT basics and Microsoft applications.
- Project report writing skills.
- Project design engineering packages and related software.
