As mechanical technician you
The technician is responsible for his own work tasks as required by seniors from time to time in accordance with assigned responsibilities.
As per instructions, responsible to:
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices as per instructions.
- Assemble, install, or repair mechanical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
- Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
- Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Assemble boilers at installation sites, using tools such as levels, plumb bobs, hammers, torches, or other hand tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on boilers, installing replacement parts, or reinforcing structural weaknesses to ensure optimal boiler efficiency.
- Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
- Receive reports about customer-reported concerns and ensure basic-level customer-oriented service.
- Prepare and arrange tools and spares for upcoming maintenance.
- Inspect regularly the condition and availability of equipment and tools needed for the dispatch of maintenance work.
- Diploma as technician, graduate technician, comparable vocational education with long-time related work experience or equivalent.
- Detailed understanding of the business at both technical and commercial levels.
- Seasoned technician or engineer with at least 3 years of related experience, preferably in heavy equipment manufacturing or machines.
- Demonstrated engineering approach.
- Able to carry out instructions.
- Excellent skill set required in areas defined in competence profile.
- Cooperative and team-oriented.
- Interpersonal as well as intercultural skills.
- Good coordination, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to uphold the highest ethical standards and high integrity.
