Manager / Senior Manager - Business Case Assessment(Iraq Mega Projects Consultancy Programme)
Location: Dubai, UAE
The role will be primarily office based with flexibility for remote working. Travel to Iraq on a visiting basis may be required.
The role
We are seeking to hire an exceptional individual with 7-10 years of consulting experience.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting financial analysis and business case assessments to support the development of high-level strategies across key economic sectors and inform policy formulation. The role provides the opportunity to work closely with government authorities to make a meaningful contribution, promoting sustainable economic growth and social development.
Main responsibilities- Evaluate and analyse financial, market and operational data to support the development of comprehensive business cases.
- Conduct in-depth market assessments, including supply and demand analysis to understand market dynamics as well as competitive market landscapes.
- Build and develop advanced financial models, including IRR, NPV, payback period, and ROI to analyse the financial feasibility of projects.
- Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to address project uncertainties and external influences.
- Evaluate project business and operating models, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvement.
- Prepare and present clear and concise presentations of business cases to senior decision makers.
- Ad-hoc analysis on topics of importance to the client.
- Advanced degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CFA (or progress toward CFA) is a plus.
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience ideally in consulting, financial analysis, or strategic planning.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, investment analysis, and business case development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Outstanding written and oral skills in English.
- Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
