As a rostering and scheduling supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and preparing rosters to balance operational demand with staff availability, compliance with rostering rules, and staff qualifications.
In this role, you will:
- Plan and populate roster patterns provided by resource planning with qualified employees to ensure operational and regulatory compliance.
- Drive leave planning and distribution across staff pools, balancing workforce availability while ensuring fair allocation to ensure operational continuity.
- Develop and implement tactical roster solutions to address demand fluctuations and emerging business needs, including management of outsourced workforce deployment to align with budgeted deployment.
- Oversee roster maintenance, ensuring fair shift distribution and compliance with roster rules to maintain operational integrity across all business areas.
- Deploy overtime resources to address coverage gaps, ensuring equitable distribution across available employees.
- Implement roster changes and employee swap requests, maintaining roster integrity and adherence to roster rules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Drive compliance with scheduling policies and procedures across administration teams to ensure consistent application of standards.
- Coordinate with resource planning and line departments and participate in pre and post roster preparation meetings with line departments and resource planning to ensure that rosters prepared are meeting demand.
- Ensure roster quality by maintaining accurate qualification tracking and training schedule integration within workforce management systems (SPX or other systems).
- Manage and maintain schedule patterns in the workforce management systems (SPX or other systems) to maintain integrity of rosters and data flow to corporate HR systems.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Secondary school qualification (12 years) and 3+ years of work experience in an operational or operational support role.
- Working knowledge of operational areas of the airport and/or functions.
- Skilled in fields related to resource planning and scheduling.
- Problem solving skills and ability to work with tight timelines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in use of digital tools such as: i) MS Office suite, ii) advanced Excel, iii) Power Automate Desktop, iv) PowerBI, v) Power Query.
- Working knowledge of manpower planning/rostering tools.
