Senior Engineer - Fire Safety
The team works in real time to make sure the right people are in the right place – airside and landside – to meet demand. As our airports are the world’s busiest, it’s fast-paced and a real challenge. They see that the operational plan is followed, and issues are dealt with across terminals, regular operations, incidents and crisis handling.The operation has to be industry-leading, and it always is.
What you'll deliver- You’ll review and approve Fire and Life Safety submissions, design compliant systems, provide technical support and solutions, drive continuous improvements, and identify innovative advancements.
- You’ll review and approve handover documents and technical specifications, lead inspections and testing to ensure compliance, facilitate building occupancy NOCs, and provide fire safety support to stakeholders.
- You’ll support the development and enhancement of fire safety standards, policies, and guidelines, while analyzing, improving, and leading their implementation across DA facilities.
- You’ll provide technical input to stakeholders on fire and life safety requirements, review documentation, support corrective actions, and assist in audits including GCAA and insurance.
- You’ll deliver fire safety training and awareness programs, support team capability development and training planning, promote best practices, assist in investigations, and conduct risk assessments, inspections, and safety audits.
- You'll be educated to a bachelor’s degree level in Fire Engineering or a related field.
- You should have 3 – 5 years of relevant experience.
- You should have experience in designing, reviewing, and approving fire safety submissions across architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- You’ll have strong communication and technical writing skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD or similar systems.
