Job Description
Role Purpose
The Senior Graphic Designer at sweetwater MEA plays a pivotal role in crafting the visual language of brand experiences. From designing for physical spaces and large-format installations to developing campaign assets and digital content, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for producing design that is not only visually compelling but also strategically aligned, culturally tuned, and execution-ready.
This role combines brand storytelling, spatial design sensibility, and multi-format layout expertise. Working closely with the Senior Art Director and broader creative and production teams, the Senior Graphic Designer ensures the consistent translation of creative concepts into beautiful, cohesive, and functional design outputs across all brand touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Design & Execution- Develop and execute high-quality graphic design work across experiential, environmental, print, and digital platforms.
- Design event branding, wayfinding systems, on-site graphics, stage backdrops, and print collateral for activations, exhibitions, and installations.
- Create digital assets including social content templates, large-screen visuals, branded animations, and motion-supporting layouts.
- Collaborate with 3D and production teams to design large-format visuals, signage, and branded environments with attention to materiality, legibility, and flow.
- Adapt graphic design for different spatial formats considering user journey, viewing distance, and interaction.
- Ensure artwork is production-ready, accurate to spec, and optimized for large-scale fabrication.
- Translate creative direction into scalable visual systems that maintain consistency across channels.
- Assist in building visual toolkits, templates, and guidelines that support integrated campaigns.
- Ensure visual outputs align with brand identity, tone of voice, and platform context (physical or digital).
- Work closely with the Senior Art Director and Associate Creative Director to deliver on briefs and uphold creative standards.
- Collaborate with content, production, and account teams to align timelines, file specifications, and brand guidelines.
- Provide guidance to junior designers, interns, and freelancers when necessary, and review their deliverables with an eye for quality.
- Design Craft - Mastery of layout, typography, color, composition, and imagery across multiple formats.
- Experiential Understanding - Strong sensibility for designing within spatial and environmental contexts.
- Multi-Channel Fluency - Ability to design for print, digital, social, motion, and spatial outputs cohesively.
- Executional Precision - Excellent attention to detail in preparing files for print, large-format, or digital delivery.
- Visual Consistency - Ability to scale visual systems across campaign rollouts while preserving brand clarity.
- Team Collaboration - Clear communicator who integrates seamlessly into cross-functional creative workflows.
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Familiar with Figma or XD for digital asset design and prototyping
- Basic familiarity with motion/animation workflows and how to design assets for video teams
- Working knowledge of 3D collaboration tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino) is a plus
- 57 years of professional design experience, ideally in a creative, experiential agency setting
- Portfolio showcasing experiential branding, large-format design, and multi-platform campaigns
- Experience working on projects for events, pop-ups, exhibitions, and/or branded environments
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- Experience working in the MENA region and Arabic design exposure is a strong plus
