Currently in the pursuit of seeking an experienced and analytical Corporate Credit Manager to lead our credit assessment, underwriting, and portfolio management for corporate clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of corporate clients,.managing all aspects of credit underwriting, assessing the creditworthiness of potential clients, and reviewing credit policies and procedures as needed. The role requires strong financial analysis capabilities, the evaluation of credit proposals, and ensuring strict compliance with regulatory and internal credit guidelines.
The Corporate Credit Manager will work closely with business teams and key stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the company's credit portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Assessment & Analysis- Evaluate the creditworthiness of corporate clients through financial statement analysis, credit scoring, industry benchmarking, and risk assessment models.
- Conduct detailed credit analysis and perform periodic credit reviews.
- Accurately risk-rate loans/credits and ensure proper documentation.
- Evaluate both cash flow-based and collateral-based lending proposals.
- Monitor and manage the corporate credit portfolio, identifying early warning signs of potential default or deterioration.
- Lead periodic reviews and audits of credit exposures, including stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Review and update the company's Credit Risk Policy and Credit Procedures in line with regulatory and market developments.
- Develop and maintain credit policies, procedures, and reporting tools for new products.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to credit risk.
- Stay updated on industry underwriting practices and assist in aligning internal policies with Central Bank regulations.
- Perform pre- and post-disbursement audits of loan files to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Set and manage credit limits and terms of payment for corporate accounts.
- Support business units in evaluating, preparing, recommending, and managing credit proposals.
- Work closely with the Corporate team, Risk Management, legal, and Internal Audit teams to structure credit facilities in line with business goals and risk appetite.
- Liaise with external credit agencies, auditors, and rating institutions as needed.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to junior credit analysts and team members.
- 5 to 8 years of corporate credit underwriting experience, preferably within the UAE market.
- In-depth knowledge of Credit Risk Management practices and CB regulation.
- Experience working with ERP and credit management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Credit Lens).
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
