Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, presentation, and quality standards.
Perform basic cooking tasks including chopping, slicing, peeling, and other prep work.
Ensure timely delivery of prepared ingredients to appropriate stations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and kitchen equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
Adhere to health and safety standards and report any hazards to supervisor.
Help with stock rotation and inventory control
(FIFO method).
Properly label and store food items.
Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
Support senior chefs during busy service periods .
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience as a Commis 3 or equivalent preferred.
Basic understanding of culinary techniques .
Knowledge of food safety & hygiene standards .
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team .
Good time management and organizational skills.
