Marine Technical Manager (Mechanical Background) (m/f/d)

• The Technical Managers are multidisciplinary professionals responsible for defining priorities and identifying the developments required to meet client needs. They also play a key role in strengthening collaboration among team members and in structuring system definitions across disciplines.

In addition, it demands strong organizational skills to structure work and clearly communicate guidelines to the team.

• Technical Leadership o Lead the design of complex systems for marine and underwater platforms interacting with different domains: Mechanical, Electrical and Software o Assess design and identify risks early in the development cycle.
• System Engineering o Extrapolate needs from the client request o Extract requirements for the developing system o Define architecture for the system that can be shared with the technical teams o Clarify the interface between the different system and technical developments.

• Product Owner o Define the needed work that needs to be done by the technical team to achieve the client needs.

• Documentation o Write & maintain documentation for the different system development.

• Education & Experience  Degree in mechanical engineering domain.

• Technical Skills  Strong knowledge of:  Structural mechanics and fatigue  Materials, corrosion, and galvanic compatibility  Sealing systems (O-rings, gaskets, pressure interfaces))  Marine and underwater design principles
