Head of Customer Insurance (Cargo Marine) – Middle East & Africa (MEA)

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced leader to head Customer Cargo Marine Insurance operations across the Middle East & Africa region. The role will drive insurance sales growth, product development, distribution strategy, customer penetration, and profitability while ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple markets.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in marine cargo insurance, insurance distribution models, risk transfer mechanisms, business development, and stakeholder management within logistics, insurance, or brokerage environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage customer insurance sales and distribution across the MEA region.
- Drive growth in insurance premiums, policy placements, and customer adoption.
- Develop strategic partnerships with insurers, brokers, and key market stakeholders.
- Design and launch insurance solutions for priority sectors such as healthcare, life sciences, and high-value cargo.
- Support commercial teams through training, sales enablement, and market development initiatives.
- Oversee pricing strategies, risk transfer structures, and product positioning.
- Manage regional P&L, sales performance, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local insurance regulations, taxation requirements, and governance standards.
- Drive process improvements, digitalization initiatives, and claims management enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with global and regional Risk Management and Insurance teams.
- 5–10+ years of experience in Cargo Insurance, Marine Insurance, Insurance Brokerage, or Insurance Business Development leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing insurance sales, distribution, and business growth across Middle East & Africa markets.
