Job Title: Procurement Lead (Temporary)Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Contract Duration: 1st September 9th December 2025 (Approx. 3 Months)
Visa Preference: Candidates who can sponsor their own visas are preferred. However, applicants without their own visa are also welcome to apply.
Industry Experience Requirement: Mandatory prior experience in procurement, preferably in events, entertainment, or large-scale project environments.
Role Overview
The Procurement Officer will play a key role in supporting the procurement function for a prestigious event in Abu Dhabi, ensuring all goods and services are sourced on time, within budget, and in compliance with project and client requirements.The role works closely with the Procurement Manager and Project Accountant to maintain accurate records, track procurement activities, and ensure all documentation is ready for post-event audits.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with production team departments to define procurement needs, specifications, and timelines.
- Create and manage RFQ/RFP documentation, liaising with suppliers to address queries and negotiate pricing.
- Evaluate supplier bids with department leads, prepare requisition paperwork, and secure necessary approvals.
- Maintain the procurement tracker with timely and accurate updates.
- Issue purchase orders in line with approved requisitions and share with suppliers.
- Maintain complete hard and soft copies of all procurement records.
- Support reconciliation and variation management with suppliers.
- Coordinate with Finance for supplier payments and post-event audit processes.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and client requirements.
- Participate in procurement team meetings and address supplier or stakeholder queries.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective negotiation skills while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with Procim preferred (training will be provided).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
- Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 35 years of procurement experience, ideally in events, entertainment, or large-scale projects.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiations, purchase order management, and documentation control.
- Arabic language skills will be an advantage (at least one of the hired candidates should ideally be Arabic-speaking).
