Job Description
The Content and Social Media Coordinator will support the creation, planning, and execution of engaging, digital-first content across all social media platforms and digital channels, with the aim of increasing reach, engagement, and brand consistency.The role will assist in managing the content calendar, coordinate community engagement, and handle social media publishing while working closely with external creators and internal design teams. The Content and Social Media Coordinator will also support digital campaign implementation, assist with performance analysis and reporting, and ensure content aligns with the wider communications and marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Content Coordination & Development:
- Manage the implementation of a content strategy that aligns with the brands objectives, key messaging, and target audiences across digital platforms.
- Assist in the content production process, from ideation to publishing, by coordinating with external content creators, photographers, videographers, and copywriters.
- Help maintain consistency in tone of voice, messaging, and visual identity across all content touchpoints.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to contribute to campaign narratives and storytelling frameworks that drive engagement and visibility.
- Create basic content using graphic programs and video editing tools to support social media content production.
Social Media Management:
- Assist in coordinating the social media roadmap and content calendar to ensure timely delivery of platform-specific content aligned with campaign milestones and audience interests.
- Support the creation, curation, and publishing of engaging and brand-aligned content across social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X).
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and brand mentions, ensuring a consistent tone of voice and positive customer service.
- Liaise with external agencies and vendors, including designers, animators, and digital specialists, to ensure output meets brand standards and objectives.
- Monitor digital conversations, audience trends, and industry developments to help inform content planning and identify reactive opportunities.
Digital Marketing Campaigns:
- Support the planning and implementation of digital marketing campaigns in collaboration with internal marketing leads and external digital agencies to help drive brand awareness, event attendance, and engagement.
- Assist in developing creative assets and messaging for paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, and other platforms.
- Help ensure digital content aligns with ongoing campaigns and messaging across both owned and paid channels.
- Work closely with internal marketing to assist in developing creatives and copy for online advertising campaigns across channels, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and display networks.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Assist in tracking and analysing performance metrics across social and digital campaigns to measure impact and inform ongoing strategy.
- Help prepare performance reports with actionable insights to support leadership in refining and optimizing future initiatives.
- Stay informed on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging content trends to help ensure the brand remains current in its digital engagement approach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in content production, social media coordination, and digital marketing, preferably within the creative industries, events, or cultural sectors.
- Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms and platform-specific best practices.
- Experience coordinating with external creative teams, including photographers, videographers, and content agencies.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills with a good eye for visual storytelling and design alignment.
- Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Later, Sprout, Hootsuite, Google Analytics).
- Familiarity with supporting digital advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, and LinkedIn.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to support multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Creative, collaborative, and proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Basic video or image editing skills and comfort with adapting content formats for social platforms is an advantage.
