Job Description
Job Title: Commissioning Engineer - MechanicalLocation: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Project Type: Large-Scale Thermal Power Plant Project
The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer will support commissioning preparation and execution for mechanical systems, ensuring safe and efficient handover from construction to operation in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support commissioning planning and execution for mechanical systems
- Review commissioning procedures, test packs, and system readiness documentation
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, vendor, and operations teams
- Verify mechanical completion status and support punch list close-out
- Witness pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot commissioning issues and support resolution of technical matters
- Ensure documentation is complete for handover and turnover processes
- Comply with project HSE procedures and commissioning protocols
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in thermal power plant commissioning, preferably CCGT
- Solid background in mechanical systems, commissioning sequence, and site coordination
- Good reporting and interface management skills
- GCC experience
- Familiarity with rotating equipment, piping systems, utilities, and plant auxiliaries
