Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced site administration manager for our client ADNOC in Abu Dhabi within our oil, gas & new energies business.
Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be client office based with a possibility of onshore site based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The key objectives for this role are:
- Assures the quality and integrity of each project, bringing projects in on schedule and within budget. Using in-house construction management procedures and experience, provide continuity and consistency of construction management with quality assurance and reliable control.
- Oversees total construction field effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budgets and schedules.
- Generally responsible for projects or subset of projects with value above USD 500 million.
- Responsible for construction and contractor related deliverables.
- Supervises all areas on small projects or a subset or discipline on larger projects.
- Responsible for management and execution of multiple field disciplines or a subset of assigned construction project(s) in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the client, and in accordance with the company's operating policies and principles.
- Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project.
- Manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned disciplines or subset of on-site construction.
- Management of installation, commissioning and completion activities of materials and equipment.
- Coordinates field personnel work schedules to maximise utilisation and ensure work is delivered on schedule.
- Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan.
- Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control.
- Ensure all workers within their area(s) of control receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal and competent manner including any health and safety and site-specific inductions.
- Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within their area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks in accordance with Wood and client requirements.
- Utilise commercial processes to capture variations effectively.
- Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, accommodation and other project-specific requirements, in accordance with client contract document specifications and in accordance with Wood policies and procedures.
- Understand and manage the industrial relations environment impacting the site and report any issues as required.
- Works with engineering in the design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability.

Expected:
- Degree with a minimum of 20 years oil and gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects (> 500 M USD) with construction management and site management focus.
- Experience within an oil and gas operating company is also highly desired and may be considered in lieu of capital project experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of the English language.
- Must be willing to travel extensively for multi-week periods and have the flexibility to adjust work location to support project needs.
- Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa.
