Supply and Replacement of Compressor -Riviera Dreams
Break Down Posted On: April 14, 2025 Closing On: April 27, 2025 Scope of Work – Overhauling & Recommissioning of 140HP Chiller CompressorSupply, Overhaul, and Recommissioning of 140HP Chiller CompressorTo fully restore the performance and reliability of a 140HP reciprocating compressor found with shorted stator windings through a complete overhaul process. The selected contractor will be responsible for all associated supply, repair, replacement, installation, testing and commissioning works, in compliance with international HVAC standards and UAE local authority requirements.
Scope of Work A. Site Preparation & Isolation
Ensure complete electrical and refrigerant isolation of the compressor unit before dismantling. Safely drain refrigerant (R-407) and compressor oil per Dubai Municipality environmental safety regulations.B. Compressor Disassembly & Diagnostic Inspection Dismantle compressor at site or in workshop (if removal is required). Conduct internal inspection to determine:
Stator winding failure extent
Bearing wear
Valve plate and reed condition
Piston and ring integrity
Replacement of Components

All components must be new, unused and traceable to recognized OEMs (Bitzer, Copeland, Carlyle, etc.) or certified equivalent suppliers approved for use in Dubai.
Rewinding Process (Stator)
Rewind stator windings using Class F/H insulation , copper windings and perform Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) . Conduct insulation resistance test and hi-pot test after rewinding. Balance motor rotor to ISO 1940 Grade G2.5 standards.
Reassembly, Charging & Testing;Reassemble the compressor with all replaced parts using torque-calibrated tools .
Flush chiller circuit with dry nitrogen purge and vacuum test to <500 microns.
Charge system with R-407 refrigerant and 4GS oil to manufacturer-specified quantities.
Perform complete commissioning procedure including: Suction/discharge pressure check
Ampere load measurementSuperheat/subcooling calculation
Oil level stability test
Leak testing (Nitrogen 300 psi)
Deliverables & Reporting
Pre-Work Inspection Report : Detailing compressor condition, test results, and overhaul plan. Mid-Work Progress Report : Highlighting part replacements, stator rewinding evidence and reassembly procedures. Final Commissioning Report : Including photos, test results, refrigerant/oil charge logs, and validation of compressor operation.
Warranties
Minimum 12-month warranty from date of commissioning on: Rewound stator and electrical integrity Replaced mechanical componentsRefrigerant and oil charge against contamination or leakage Any defect observed during warranty period must be rectified within 48 hours at no additional cost.
