Assist Senior engineer u00A0operations Support in u00A0u00A0preparation of replies and follow up of u00A0action items in environmentalu00A0 audit,u00A0 inspection,u00A0 investigationu00A0 andu00A0 testingu00A0 activitiesu00A0 atu00A0 various operations to cover such issues as airborne contaminantsu00A0 measurement, physicalu00A0 agents testing, (noise,)u00A0 air quality,u00A0 effluent quality,u00A0 handlingu00A0 and managementu00A0 of toxic and hazardous waste,u00A0 etc., withu00A0 a view to ensureu00A0 that environment is maintainedu00A0 at the optimumu00A0 level of safety , health and environmentalu00A0 standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Reportu00A0u00A0 undesirable conditionsu00A0u00A0 andu00A0u00A0 implications thereof togetheru00A0u00A0 withu00A0u00A0 recommendations for improvement in order to achieve departmental Policy objectives on Environmental Protection. Coordinate environmental management system (IS0-14001 Standard) implementation activities at site
• Monitor Connected Worker Effectiveness and facilitate smooth functioning of the plant monitoring system.
• Facilitate in timely completion of Departmental objectives formulation, follow up progress of the objectives completion and assist in annual evaluation of compliance.
• On daily basis assists in u00A0monitoring of plant discharges (flaring,u00A0 emissionsu00A0 andu00A0 liquid effluents tou00A0 environment andu00A0 reportu00A0 tou00A0 management withu00A0 reasonsu00A0 for any deviationu00A0 and improvement.
• Does u00A0calculationsu00A0 for quantificationu00A0 of flaringu00A0 & emissions.
• Provide the u00A0datau00A0 generated for daily, monthly, and annual environmental reports.
• Assistsu00A0 inu00A0 conductingu00A0 environmentalu00A0 ambientu00A0 air qualityu00A0 monitoringu00A0 and emissionu00A0 source testing to determine major sources of airborne contaminants
• Assists in environmental sampling andu00A0 monitoring instrumentsu00A0 foru00A0 the environmentalu00A0 protectionu00A0 andu00A0 management andu00A0 trainsu00A0 fieldu00A0 staff onu00A0 all environment protectionu00A0 and management issues.
• Assistsu00A0 inu00A0 Sustainability report preparation.
• Advises u00A0Coordinators Production operation on wasteu00A0 disposal,u00A0 assists in preparation of annualu00A0 wasteu00A0 projection .
• Advises on effluent treatment and samplingu00A0 and analysis of effluent.
• Review operational processes and Plant performance in key areas to ensures adequate technical support to Operations Division to resolve problems and maintain high plant reliability.
• Participates in integrity reviews, HAZOP studies, HSE reviews, studies and assessments.
• Reviews and guides Plant trip analysis, incident investigations and associated reports .
• Prepares daily flaring profile and proposals for remedial actions to ensure minimum flaring
• Review, discusses and advises TLOS on packages, new project schedule and expenditure phasing.
• Identify plant improvement opportunities and facilitate the modification to improve the cost, availability and reliability of plant
• Plant performance analysis and failure investigations in key areas to ensure support to shift Operations to resolve problems and maintain high plant reliability
• Perform as subject matter Expert in GAP analysis panels for evaluating personnel for promotion.
• Assist shift teams during emergencies as per Emergency Response Procedure in safe isolation and restoration of normalcy.
• Assist shift operation crews in the application of the ADNOC GAS HSEMS system and processes under his ownership.u00A0 Promote HSE awareness among his team and maintain good safety standards during work activities by other departments
• Ensure compliance to all management tools likeAIPS HSECES, RCM, DGS, MOC etc., (ensure all supporting documents required are provided and follow-up on short comings).
• u00A0Ensure effective functioning of Connected worker System, review and initiate appropriate actions based on the field monitoring results.
• Participate in the performance appraisal of personnel, conducting technical interviews, preparing and maintaining a detailed shift log
• Monitor Cardex compliances within the department and identify areas of improvement.
• Take action to INTERVENE and STOP any un-safe activity or non-compliance with HSE requirements, if witnessed, and report the incident u2013 regardless of your position or that of the transgressor

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Bachelor Degree inu00A0Chemical/Petrochemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in the oil refining or gas/ petrochemical industry at least 3 years in a Senior Supervisory capacity with DCS Control System experience
• Thorough knowledge of the Standing Instructions and Operating procedures pertaining to the assigned Area
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills with proven analytical ability
• Good coordination skills
• Good IT Skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
