CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to manage and oversee the structural design and analysis of foundation systems and steel structures. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise in structural engineering, including calculations and reports for foundations, steel structures, and other load-bearing systems in industrial environments.

• Foundation Design and Analysis: Develop and evaluate foundation systems for steel structures, including silos, hoppers, supporting platforms, utility and process equipment supports, platforms, stairs, crane and hoist support systems, and storage racks. Conduct structural analysis to ensure designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Consider factors such as soil conditions, load distribution, seismic requirements, and long-term durability to optimize foundation performance.
• Structural Calculations: Perform detailed structural calculations for steel structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes such as ACI 318, BS 8110, Eurocode 7, and ASCE. Provide calculations for steel elements like beams, columns, and connections to ensure stability and strength.
• Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive structural reports, including foundation calculations, load analysis, and material selection documentation. Ensure that reports are clear, accurate, and aligned with project needs.
• Structural Design for Steel Components: Work on the structural design of steel components, ensuring they can support the required loads and comply with industry standards. Collaborate with the Steel Design Draftsman to ensure that shop drawings reflect accurate structural calculations.
• Site Inspections and Supervision: Conduct site inspections to verify that foundations and steel structures are being constructed as per design and standards. Provide technical guidance to construction teams to ensure compliance with structural and safety requirements.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure that structural designs align with overall project goals. Address technical challenges and offer solutions during the design, construction, and installation phases.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all structural designs meet local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, including AISC, ACI, EN 1992, and ISO 9001 for quality management.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest structural engineering practices, technologies, and software. Proactively identify opportunities for improving design processes and structural integrity.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis, focusing on foundations and steel structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar for performing load calculations and analyzing structural systems.
