Our Specialist Lighting Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Warehouse Supervisor / Manager overseeing all warehouse operations for a contracting company.The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of goods, optimizing warehouse processes, and supervising warehouse staff. This role is critical in maintaining a smooth and cost-effective supply chain.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to ensure efficient storage and movement of goods, specifically refrigeration equipment and components.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods, ensuring accuracy and minimizing discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock levels, monitor product expiry dates (if applicable), and conduct regular stock audits.
- Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods to meet customer demands.
- Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and processes to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers and coordinate inbound and outbound transportation.
- Prepare and analyze warehouse operational reports, including inventory levels, shipping performance, and warehouse efficiency metrics.
- Implement and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within the construction contracting sector, with knowledge of lighting products being a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics processes.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate warehouse teams.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations in the UAE.
