Job Description

Position Overview

The Service Planner is responsible for developing the weekly service plans in line with the tactical annual service plan and in coordination with the planners from the different operators for Etihad Rail network.

The Service planner is responsible for developing the pre-operational plans in Quintiq Service Planner and for sharing the weekly plans with the relevant stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain pre-operational plans in Quintiq Service Planner for Etihad Rail Network.
• Update the plans as required and ensure effective communication is in place.
• Develop and communicate the weekly and daily plans.
• Manage the timetable interface with TMS.
• Coordinate with the operator's planners for paths planning.
• Coordinate with NOCC and other internal stakeholders during the planning process.
• Coordinate the network access with the Infrastructure Maintenance Planner.
• Coordinate the shunting requirement interface with service with the fleet maintenance planner.
• Maintain effective communication externally and internally.
• Maintain a robust reporting system with Planning Manager.
• Assist the Performance Analyst with the performance analysis and delays attribution.
• Cover the Planning Manager during absence.

Academic Qualifications:

• University certificate or equivalent.

Professional Qualifications:

• Analytical skills for problem-solving.
• Quintiq Rail Planner knowledge.

Experience:

• No less than 5 years of planning experience.
• No less than 3 years of network planning experience.
• No less than 2 years of railway experience.
• Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced deadline and deliverable oriented setting.

Other Skills:

• English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skills.
• Ability to work in multicultural teams.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
