Planning Engineer

Job Description

This role requires a deep understanding of construction planning activities, advanced Primavera P6 proficiency, and proven expertise in project scheduling, resource management, and progress monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6, including 14-day look-aheads, resource loading, and progress tracking
• Prepare and analyze S-curves, histograms, and other reporting tools to monitor project performance
• Coordinate resource allocation and ensure optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks or delays, recommending corrective actions
• Prepare budget allocation plans linked to schedules and track variances against baseline
• Manage EOT (Extension of Time) applications by providing accurate schedule analysis and reporting
• Establish and maintain project schedules in accordance with contractual requirements
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure schedule alignment
• Prepare and present schedule reports, including critical path analysis and progress updates

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in construction planning and scheduling, with significant Primavera P6 expertise
• Proven experience in resource loading, budget management, and schedule analytics
• Strong understanding of construction processes, contractual requirements, and EOT procedures
• Ability to analyze and interpret project data to identify potential risks and solutions
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
